A short story about a misunderstood dragon, adults who don’t listen, and a little girl

I wrote this a little while ago based on a challenge to create a story that included something about marigolds. While everyone else wrote about vases and grandmothers and first dates, I, of course, wrote about a dragon.

Not much else to report so far. My manuscript for Heart of the Mountain, Breath of the Water is finished and right now I’m fighting my procrastination demon is battling with my self-doubt demon over whose reason is best for not querying an agent. I think my get-on-with-it demon must be on vacation.

Anyway… I hope you enjoy this story.
